Ok...  That was bizarre...  Out-of-sequence edit due to mouse jumping
around :-(.  The "Appending qdisc pfifo" stuff at the end of the earlier
message was supposed to be among the first things I tried when I started
modifying the default "tutorial" configuration.  It helped somewhat, which
I expected because...  A FIFO is computationally simpler to implement than
SFQ.  Sorry for the noise.
